Terms of Service

Last updated: 28 October 2026

By using Sudanna, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the platform.

1. The service

Sudanna is a platform bringing together Sports, Social Events, Market Place, Services Hub, Jobs, News, a community Forum and a directory of Sudanese Bodies, for the Sudanese community in the UK. It is available on the website and in the Sudanna apps for iPhone and Android, and these terms apply to all of them.

2. Your account

You're responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for keeping your password confidential. You must be 18 or older to create an account or make any payment on the platform. An account for a Sudanese body or a club should be used by someone who is authorised to act for it.

3. Acceptable use

You may not post fraudulent, abusive, or unlawful content; impersonate anyone else; send spam; or attempt to circumvent any of the platform's protective measures. We may remove content that breaches these terms or suspend an account without prior notice in serious cases.

4. Listings and payments

Sellers, service providers, and employers may post free or paid listings depending on the tier chosen. All payments are processed by Stripe. Paid listings are non-refundable once published, except where the issue is a technical fault on our side.

A Services Hub listing is free and permanent. A provider may choose to promote it for a number of days in one of the promotion tiers. The price per day, any longer-stay discount and any busier-season price are shown before you pay, and the total is worked out again by Sudanna at payment. Promotion starts once it is paid and any listing review is complete, runs for exactly the days bought, and is non-refundable once it has started, except where the issue is a technical fault on our side. When it ends the listing stays live as a free listing.

5. Events and tickets

Sudanna is a platform that lets organisers sell tickets — it is not itself an event organiser. The organiser is solely responsible for the event's quality, safety, and delivery. Money owed to organisers is paid out manually after the event ends, on a schedule managed by our admin team. Events with free entry use Sudanna's ticketing at no cost. For ticketed events the organiser chooses a ticketing plan and agrees, before selling, to the percentage of each ticket sold that Sudanna keeps; nothing is charged upfront, the share is deducted from the organiser's payout, and the price buyers pay is not increased by it. Refunded tickets carry no share.

Where an organiser lets guests reserve a place and pay at the door, a reservation does not guarantee entry: the organiser decides on the day whether there is room, and Sudanna is not responsible if a place turns out not to be available. An organiser whose event is open to reservations only buys places in advance, in bundles, through Stripe; those places are non-refundable, and free-entry events and the organiser's own guest list are never charged.

6. Sudanese bodies

An association, charity, school, community group, club or other Sudanese organisation can apply to be recognised on Sudanna. The person who submits an application is responsible for the accuracy and truthfulness of everything they enter and upload, must be authorised to act for the body, and accepts a consent statement before the application is sent; we keep a record of when it was accepted and which wording was shown.

Sudanna does not write the information on a body's page and does not verify it beyond a preliminary cross-check against public data before granting a badge. Sudanna takes no responsibility for that information and does not endorse any body, its views, its events or what it says or does: a badge or a published page is not an endorsement. We may ask the submitter for more information through the messages on the site and by email, and we may edit, hide, reject, withdraw recognition from or remove a page at any time, for example if the information turns out to be wrong or misleading.

Proof documents are kept private and opened only by our review team. A recognised body decides who becomes a member; being a member is separate from following. What a body posts for its members, and the events it runs, are its own responsibility, and the submitter must keep the information up to date and tell us if the body changes or stops.

7. Sports clubs

Any account holder can start a sports club and becomes its captain. The captain is responsible for what they add about the club and its players, including their names, photos, dates of birth and nationalities, and must have each player's permission to share it (a parent's, for a child). A club, and every change to it, is reviewed before it is public. Tournaments, fixtures, results, goals and cards are entered only by the Sudanna team.

8. Content you create

You retain ownership of any content you post (listings, photos, logos, reviews), but you grant us a licence to display it on the platform for as long as your account or listing stays active, including a resized copy used for the preview shown when a page is shared. You must have the right to use anything you upload and must not upload another person's personal details or photo without their permission.

9. Limitation of liability

Sudanna is an intermediary connecting users with each other; we are not a party to any transaction or agreement between users. We're not responsible for the quality of goods, services, jobs, or events listed by users, or for information entered by Sudanese bodies and clubs, which we do not verify or endorse.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continuing to use the platform after an update means you accept the changes.
